Hobby Addicts began in 2021 as a home-based online shop, built from a love of trading card games, RC cars, and board games. What started as a small side project quickly grew thanks to the support of the community.
In April 2025, we opened our brick and mortar shop in Livermore, California. The store is designed to be welcoming and inclusive, with tournaments held Tuesday through Saturday and a focus on creating a space where people can play, learn, and connect.
Hobby Addicts is owned and operated by Michael, alongside his wife Chau and their dog Marley. You will often see Marley, the shop dog, helping make everyone feel at home.
All products are sourced from authorized dealers, so you can shop with confidence knowing everything we carry is authentic.
At our core, Hobby Addicts is about community. More than just a store, it is a place to gather, play, and share great experiences together.

I founded Hobby Addicts in 2020 as a way to source the items I loved at reasonable prices. What started as a personal venture quickly grew into something much more meaningful as I discovered how much I enjoyed being involved with the community. Fast forward to 2024, Hobby Addicts has become my full-time job!
Outside of the store, I’m active in RC racing, drone racing, go-kart racing, and playing various TCGs. I most actively compete in 1:10 on-road touring car and 1:14 off-road racing. On the TCG side, I play Flesh and Blood competitively and casually play Sorcery at home.
My ultimate dream is to open a store that combines a track and game space—a sanctuary for both card players and racers to gather, compete, and connect.
