Hi, it’s H here. When I started growing my own medicinal plants in 2019, right after legalization, I had no idea what I was doing. The first two years were rough. I’m a mechanical engineer by trade, with years of design and manufacturing experience, so I started solving my own problems the way I knew best – by designing tools. I knew 3D CAD, bought a 3D printer, and began prototyping gear for my own garden. The first things I made were simple stakes to hold branches. They helped, but the common training clips on the market were still too aggressive. They pinched stems, didn’t stack into a proper 180 bend, and felt like cheap gimmicks.

I went through about ten prototypes before getting it right. Early versions were made from soft rubbery material, but they didn’t hold shape.
